About Course
Spending time in the water can feel great for people living with lymphedema or lipedema—but are there ways to make aquatic activity even more beneficial? In this informative webinar replay, physiotherapist and certified lymphedema therapist Dorit Tidhar shares her approach to Aqua Lymphatic Drainage, a method designed to support lymphatic and venous flow while exercising in water.
You’ll learn how the physical properties of water—such as hydrostatic pressure and resistance—affect circulation and lymphatic movement, and why aquatic environments can be particularly helpful for individuals managing swelling. Dorit also introduces her unique aqua therapy routine, developed through research and clinical experience with her own clients, which can be practiced independently in the pool.
If you’ve ever wondered whether simply swimming is enough—or if there are more targeted ways to use water-based exercise to support lymphedema or lipedema management—this session will provide practical insights. By the end of the program, you’ll have a better understanding of how aquatic exercise may fit into your self-care routine and how to make the most of your time in the water.
This session is presented by Dorit Tidhar, PT, and moderated by Jean LaMantia, RD, registered dietitian and lymphedema educator.
