About Course

Complementary therapies are frequently discussed in the lymphedema community, yet clear, balanced information about them can be difficult to find. In this webinar, Jean LaMantia, RD, registered dietitian and author of Complementary Therapies for Lymphedema, presents a focused review of three approaches that are gaining interest among people living with lymphedema.

The session will explore singing bowls, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and castor oil, providing an overview of how these modalities are used, what practitioners aim to achieve, and what patients commonly want to know about them. Rather than promoting specific treatments, the goal of this webinar is to provide context and thoughtful discussion around these complementary approaches.

The session will also feature recorded short interviews with practitioners who incorporate these modalities into their work. These conversations will offer insight into how the therapies are practiced and the perspectives of those working in these fields.

Designed for both patients and health professionals, this webinar offers an opportunity to learn about complementary therapies in a balanced, informative way and to better understand the range of approaches people may encounter in the lymphedema space.

Live webinar takes place on Thursday April 30rd at 1:00 pm EST (12 CT, 11 MT, 10 PT).

Tuition includes a paperback copy of Complementary Therapies for Lymphedema (value $27.95). If you already have a copy, then use coupon “no book” at checkout to save $15 (webinar cost without book $20).
