I was 27 when I was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma (cancer in the lymph nodes). My cancer treatment was grueling, but ultimately successful, but when it finished, I developed an intense fear that my disease would return. I began worrying that every ache or pain was my cancer coming back — I became hyper-vigilant. This high level of anxiety was causing new problems — in my case migraine headaches. After a particularly panicked call to the hospital and the doctor’s humiliating response, I hit rock bottom and I finally decided that enough was enough. I was ready for a way to take control of my health.
I searched for, read and analyzed a ton of research on the topic of nutrition and cancer. All of this information seemed to distill down into 3 key pillars.

Now, I share this powerful information with cancer patients and survivors, helping them to feel good about what they eat and because of what they eat.
Cancer treatment is also a leading cause of the painful and underrecognized condition lymphedema. This connection led me to work with cancer survivors and others on lymphedema prevention and management with an anti-inflammatory diet tailored to support lymphatic health. Working with lymphedema introduced me to clients with lipo-lymphedema and allowed me to see the same need for quality nutrition information for lipo-lymphedema and lipedema.
In my own personal cancer experience, I found hope and calm in the knowledge that strong nutrition supports my body as it works to defy cancer. Through my courses, books, and individual counselling, I want to share that same gift with you — so you can feel confident you’re doing everything you can do to be cancer-free with a healthy lymphatic system.
