I was 27 when I was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma (cancer in the lymph nodes). My cancer treatment was grueling, but ultimately successful. When it ended, I expected to feel relief—but instead, I was overwhelmed by fear that the cancer would return. Every ache and pain felt like a warning sign. I became hyper-vigilant, and the anxiety began to affect my health in new ways, including frequent migraines. After a particularly panicked call to the hospital and the doctor’s humiliating response, I hit rock bottom and I finally decided that enough was enough. I was ready for a way to take control of my health.
I began researching everything I could about the role of nutrition in cancer recovery and survivorship. Over time, the research consistently pointed to a few key principles:
Supporting the Immune System
Reducing Chronic Inflammation
Choosing foods that contain bioactive compounds (nutraceuticals) that have been studied for their potential to influence the cancer life cycle
These became the foundation of how I approached my own recovery—and how I continue to support my clients today.Â
• Navigating cancer treatment or survivorship
• Living with lymphedema after cancer treatment
• Managing lipedema or lipo-lymphedema
Many people come to me feeling overwhelmed by conflicting information and unsure what to do next.
My goal is to help you make sense of that—and find an approach that feels clear, realistic, and sustainable.
